West Linn French Chateau Inspired Kitchen & Interior Design
This 1990’s West Linn home suffered from an identity crisis, from the colonial style front door to the Art Deco fireplace to the rotary cut oak cabinets with Cathedral Arch doors. The home’s saving grace was the well-though out floor plan and the incredible four mountain view. Design inspiration came from the homeowner’s many travels to France. The existing Art Deco Fireplace was renovated with a bold, custom designed mantle, faced in limestone and capped with a plastered over-mantle. The fireplace was flanked on both sides with custom glazed cabinets. The kitchen features a custom plastered ventilation hood and an expansive island. There is plenty of storage too – the four-sided functional raised section of the island stores the TV, wine glasses, serving platters and more!
The house is now a cohesive Northwest inspired French Chateau with an amazing view!
