Philosophy of Kitchen Design

I love food. I love how it’s grown and raised. I love the process of perusing a recipe for just the right dish and creating the shopping list. I love shopping and preparing the meal with the grand prize at the end - the enjoyment of eating and sharing with family and friends!

I have a nurturing soul. The process of creating a meal for my others to enjoy feeds my soul. Food sustains me both physically and creatively.

This is why I design kitchens. I believe that creating a kitchen that functions well and is aesthetically pleasing is one of the great joys of my career.

Successful design is a road we travel together. My job is to support you through the process, sometimes leading, sometimes following, and on occasion gently pushing you towards the end.

Philosophy of Bathroom Design

I am tired of being a Human Doing. My goal is to become a Human Being. By being fully present in everything I do – designing, being with my family or friends, knitting, riding my bike, eating – my goal is to be totally present.

I believe that the process of getting ready for the day is our first step to being fully present. Having a bathroom that functions well for you and your family’s morning process greatly assists this goal.

Many of us take the bathroom for granted, but this powerhouse of a room does so much for our daily success. Whether getting ready in the morning, doing laundry or helping in the relaxing phase of our day – good bathroom design is a must.

A lot goes in to this room: how you bathe (showers, bath or both), how you relax – steam showers, jetted or non-jetted tubs, what you store, how many people will use the room at one time and the amount of privacy each person needs are many of the decisions that go in a successful bathroom renovation.

Successful design is a road we travel together. My job is to support you through the process, sometimes leading, sometimes following, and on occasion gently pushing you towards the end.

The final goal is to create a room that fits both your lifestyle and budget!
