Mid-Century Modern Meets the 21st Century

Home/Kitchen Design/Mid-Century Modern Meets the 21st Century

Project Description

Unused space in a home is a design faux pas. It drives me crazy! The original kitchen was cramped, and sandwiched between the dining room and a too small “breakfast nook”. Reducing the width of the window in the breakfast nook created the perfect wall for the cooktop and prep center and created a much needed focal point.

Changing the sliding door to a full-light terrace door resulted in a highly functional cleanup center and a dramatic circular eating bar for two! The new kitchen features a baking center with a 60” wide appliance center and a full bar, perfect for entertaining.

Cabinets are wood grain laminate, Marmoleum floors and quartz countertops make cooking and entertaining easy as maintenance is as easy as pie!
